The Empowered Tools Initiative provides veterans and first responders who have upper body limb loss the tools and training they need to regain capability and access vocational opportunities. 

Through this initiative, eligible veterans and first responders receive a DeWALT® toolkit adapted with the LifeWork® Adapter for use with prosthetics. The kit includes reciprocating saws, circular saws, grinders and more. 

Participants receive hands-on training and evaluation on using the tools safely and effectively to complete basic tasks. This builds their confidence in utilizing the equipment.

The Donation Program provides DeWALT® toolkits adapted with the LifeWork® Adapter for use with prosthetics to veterans and first responders with an upper body limb injury or loss of hand functionality. 

The LifeWork® Adapter can be used with power tools, such as circular saws, reciprocating saws, oscillating tools, and chain saws, among others and adapts Adapts Hosmer 5, 5X, and 8 hooks.

Warriors Prosthetic Initiative is raising funds to give away adapters to injured veterans.  For every $6500 raised, we will be able to provide training and give away a full LifeWork® Adapter Tool Kit, which includes adapted reciprocating saw, circular saw, grinder, and oscillating multi-tool from DeWALT.
